My name is Chris Richards, and I'm a graduate of film production from the University of Winchester; with a specialism in Art Direction, set decoration and prop making/buying, particularly for period film.

I am currently seeking entry level positions, and industry placements in order to gain on-set experience in HETV and Film.

Whilst I have taken on many roles in a number of student productions; from writer and director of several of my own short films, to camera operator and sound recordist; a love of art and design, and a passion of accuracy and detail lead me down the route of the art department; self-teaching myself many of the basic skills (including some graphic design) through my work on my own and other people's short films.

I have experience with all facets of Adobe's Creative Cloud software, with particular ability in using Photoshop Pro, and Lightroom.

Alongside these digital skills, I am also an artist in mediums of acrylics, watercolour, sketching, and calligraphy.

I also own, and can competently use an original 1917-era Corona typewriter, which I use for document work.

I am teaching myself hand drafting, and have my own drawing board and rules.

A keen model-maker, I create scale dioramas and scenic-work, mainly in 1/72, but up to 1/6 and beyond.

I am an keen photographer with my own Nikon DSLR, Pentax 35MM, and Super 8 cameras, and have experience in both analogue (including developing and print enlarging) and digital work.

With a long standing passion for history, including particular knowledge regarding the world wars and post-war periods. I am also able to provide historical advice, or bring a pre-existing understanding of a period's style to any Department Assistant's role.

I hold a full driving licence, and my own vehicle.
